What are you waiting for? Woodhams Eye Clinic can help you see better!
You have thought about vision correction for years!
And now you have taken the first step. At Woodhams Eye Clinic, we do more than LASIK. You will be evaluated using the most advanced testing available. Our team of doctors will review your test results with you and recommend the procedure or combination of procedures that is best for you.
Prelex™ Presbyopic Lens Exchange can be the solution for Cataracts, Nearsightedness, Farsightedness and Presbyopia (age related farsightedness) in patients usually over 50 years of age. Woodhams Eye Clinic is the exclusive provider for Prelex™.
Enhanced Cataract Surgery Standard cataract surgery can leave you dependant on glasses for near vision. Enhanced Cataract surgery can reduce dependance on glasses for most activities. This procedure can be ideal for monovision contact lens users experiencing symptoms of cataracts.
CustomVue LASIK with IntraLASE The latest in laser vision correction is blade free LASIK with IntraLASE. This method uses a laser instead of a blade during the first step of laser vision correction which is creating a flap to access the cornea. Combined with Custom Vue, which analyzes 200 segments on the cornea and treats each area, you will get the best possible results. Woodhams Eye Clinic was the first to use the Intralase blade free method in the state of Georgia.
ICL Implantable Contact Lenses can be a great option for patients who are nearsighted with refractions of -3 to -17. These patients may be poor candidates for Intralase because of thin or unhealthy corneas, and simply not willing to risk future issues such as Ectasia (drooping or unstable cornea). With ICL, no corneal tissue is removed. These lenses are surgically removable. Dr. Woodhams is the country's most experienced Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) surgeon.
Presby-Fix™ FDA approved in April 2015, Woodhams Eye Clinic is the first and exclusive provider for Presby-Fix™ treatment for Presbyopia. Presby-Fix™ is performed using the AcuFocus KAMRA Inlay or the Raindrop™ Inlay (not yet FDA approved for use in the US). This is the first non-intraocular microsurgical device to treat Presbyopia. Often called "farsightedness" or "middle-age eyes," this condition is characterized by a slow progressive loss of near vision, making reading difficult and eventually impossible without correction. By the time you reach your 40s, you will experience these symptoms, usually requiring the use of bifocals or reading glasses. Unlike nearsightedness, Presbyopia does not affect your distance vision. The Inlay is surgically removable and requires o maintenance or replacing.
